Tom joined Paul Butler Associates Ltd. in 2001 after graduating from Manchester University. He is a full member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and an affiliate of the Institute of Building Conservation (IHBC).

Tom has extensive experience in progressing large scale development schemes through the planning system, from inception stage to determination and discharge of planning conditions. He is responsible for managing design teams, and working closely with local communities, planning authorities and statutory consultees to enable the smooth progression of schemes through the planning system.

Tom has an active role in business development, being responsible for maintaining good working relationships with existing long-term clients, including Manchester United Football Club whom the Practice has represented since 2000, and developing relationships with more recent clients including De Trafford Estates Group, Renaker, Hale Estates, Beech Construction/Beech Holdings, Generation, RED Partnerships and Bruntwood.
