Paul Butler Associates Ltd represented the interests of Glossop Cartons a major local employer and worked to secure the removal of their premises from a proposed extension to Padfield Conservation Area which was being promoted by High Peak Borough Council. Had the proposed extension to the Conservation Area been made as originally proposed by the Council, the future redevelopment potential of the mill site owned by Glossop Cartons would have been severely restricted by placing an onus on the company to retain the mill.
