Heritage Statement
Bruntwood are currently in the process of refurbishing Bank House, a 15 storey office building in Manchester City Centre, to provide a Grade A office development to be known as ‘neo’; a home for ‘forward-thinking businesses who require more from their workplace’.

Paul Butler Associates Ltd were instructed in May 2015 to provide heritage advice to the design team relating to Bank House which forms part of the Bank Chambers complex. Although unlisted, the building has heritage significance as a non-designated heritage asset and is located adjacent to a Conservation Area.

Paul Butler Associates Ltd provided a Heritage Assessment which was submitted in support of a planning application for the refurbishment of the building’s facades, new curtain walling, and feature lighting along with works enabling the disused external roof terrace to be brought back into use.

The application was approved in August 2015 and neo will be launched at the end of 2016.
