Paul Butler Associates were appointed as planning and heritage consultants on this project which involved the refurbishment and extension of a tired and dated 1960s office building in Manchester’s Northern Quarter and within the Stevenson Square Conservation Area. The scheme has given the building a new lease of life enabling it to appeal to Manchester’s technology and creative industrie

Planning permission was secured for a third and fourth floor extension, the change of use of the basement car park to a gym, and external alterations. Advertisement consent was also secured for the new building signage. Paul Butler Associates managed the pre-application process including undertaking consultation with Manchester City Council and local residents; preparing the supporting Planning and Heritage Statement; managing the application through to determination; and, progressing the discharge of planning conditions.
