Planning Statement
Formerly the Withy Grove Printing House which was constructed in 1873, the building’s original use ceased in 1985. The building was badly damaged as a result of the 1996 IRA bomb, and was redeveloped as part of the regeneration of the City Centre.

Paul Butler Associates Ltd secured planning permission for the refurbishment and reuse of the building into a mixed-use urban leisure and entertainment complex. The complex now accommodates bars, restaurants, nightclubs, a multi-screen cinema and a health and fitness club.

The project was a key component of the broader redevelopment of the area due to its strategic location overlooking Exchange Square and Urbis (now the National Football Museum), and adjacent to the remodelled Arndale Centre.
